Workshops

During this workshop, we fully turn our eyes to Lebanon. With colonial violence impacting the whole levant region, we gather once more around the dinner table, this time to amplify Lebanese voices, share their stories, and experience the flavors of resistance they carry.

Under the guidance of Lebanese members from our community, we'll cook and enjoy a vegetarian mezze (with vegan options available), concluding with a selection of rich, flavorful Lebanese sweets. As they guide us through unique produce, spices, and techniques, our Lebanese friends will also share stories of their heritage and resilience, revealing the heart and history of each dish.

On May 11th, join us around the dinner table as community members from Gaza share cherished recipes and stories of steadfastness. Once again, we'll prepare and enjoy Maqluba, the layered Palestinian dish rich in tradition and resistance, accompanied by a fattoush salad, Palestinian lentil soup, fruit, and biscuits.

Our Palestinian team members will guide us through the preparation, explaining each ingredient's significance and each flavor's connection to their heritage. Alongside cooking, they'll share stories of strength, bringing the enduring spirit of Palestinian resistance to life through food.
